Things to know about Grief.
Grief is one of those things in the body where the energy doesn't quite have words. The feelings can range from severe, and intense to a dull numbness and underlying heart ache.
One thing that is prevalent amongst all grief and loss is that the body holds it more than our mind or words can quite describe. This poster above is a starting point, a DIY to help your body enter into a space of power and openness and in this space of openness, a bigger, more profound understanding and embodiment can be reached.
These processes may seem insignificant but don't be fooled by their simplicity, because when the body heals, integrates and finds peace it isn't always a massively profound moment or technique (although it can be) it's usually a more subtle in-breath, a lifting of heaviness from the simple yet potent and powerful process which you are embarking upon.
Before Beginning
Before you begin this process, you may like to make a cup of tea and grab a blanket as well as other comfort items that come to mind and create a safe space where you won't be interrupted for at least 30 minutes. You may also like to grab a journal or paper and pen for you to write any messages down that you may intuitively receive through this process.
Now for some notes.

Lung 9 Emotional Stress Release Point
This point loves to be massaged ranging anywhere from 30 seconds - 5 minutes per side. The way you'll know that you're massaging the correct point is that it will feel tender/ more tender than the surrounding tissue and the body will indicate to you when it's had enough stimulation because the sensation of the point whilst being massaged will change. It usually stops feeling tender and starts to either feel annoying to keep massaging or it will feel more neutral.
To begin the process have a read through the poster and see if there is one part your drawn to first, if not, start from the top and make your way down the processes, you may even feel a nudge or desire to redo some parts for a second time, I encourage you to do this. You may even like to journal throughout and at any point if you feel the nudge to do another technique you know, please also do this.
To end the process it can be helpful to take a moment to mentally check-in to see how your feeling, you'll either feel more relaxed and at peace or you may notice some underlying stress that your feeling, this can be a great time to get up and move the body, to hum to yourself rock or even do some star jumps or stomping. After this check-in its important to mentally say to yourself that you will come back to do some more processing and being present with yourself and set a time. It can be helpful to put this in your calendar and make sure you stick to it as this will help you build strong self-trust and will make sure that any lingering stress will sit dormant rather than be at the forefront of your mind until you have time to sit with it again. If this still feels really heavy you can get what's called a rescue remedy from most supermarkets and take that as directed a few times a day until you can get into see someone such as Olivia for a more in-depth Processing and Healing session
